Welcome to Biomedical Sciences (FAU HCOP Program)
The Biomedical Sciences – Healthcare Careers Outreach Program (HCOP), in collaboration with the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University is designed to increase interest in the health sciences for young people interested in careers in medicine and biomedical research and to mentor and prepare them to successfully compete at the highest levels of college and post-graduate studies. The mission of this honors program is to increase opportunities in medicine and Biomedical Sciences for students, especially under-represented and under-served minorities in South Florida. Advanced simulations and practical applications are required components of the curriculum in addition to field trips to FAU College of Medicine and FAU Simulation Center.
